HORARY TEXTBOOK PDF

The book and its author John Frawley is an astrologer famous all over the world, contacted by people of any nation that ask him mainly horary consultations, the astrological branch in which he is most specialized. Let us see then if he is not only good at practising it, but also in explaining his method. This is a second edition of a book published in and Frawley informs us that he deemed it necessary for a couple of reasons. First his students he keeps horary astrology courses, and also on natal astrology gave him feedbacks that revealed the necessity of clarifying some parts. He left unaltered the original text, adding some corrective paragraphs marked by two symbols to make them clearly identifiable. This choice was not only made to make clear the evolution he followed, to show the errors done and make clear the new approach and allowing a discussion on the matter, but also because the book, as didactic instrument of his courses, must easily allow the finding of a passage in any edition.

I was a total novice when i finally picked up this book at the incessant pestering of my girlfriend. So I was intrigued. Then she recommended I read this book - together with one other Hellenistic Astrology book that was so technically complicated I almost had an aneurysm - and try out the exercises for myself.

Within two weeks, one day at a time, The Horary Textbook opened my mind to an option in life I had never, ever thought to be possible. And John Frawley presented the material in a way that a totally disbelieving even aggressively disbelieving self-absorbed "rationalist" could easily test the veracity of this oh-so-simple art. And by God, it worked. And all based on clear, concise, straighforward rules that John Frawley lays out in a fun, easy-to-understand, and immediately-applicable way.

Think about that. I am totally, completely blown away by this discovery. Which is why I am sharing this review with readers and astrology-novices so passionately. Just amazing. It has impressed the fact that indeed the Universe was built by a incomparably omni-everything The One, and that she, this Universe, is structured and beautiful. The source material, however, is not what makes this or any of his others a great book, or what makes John a great astrology teacher.

His books are not so much about astrology as they are about how to be a good, reliable astrologer. I think this is a good thing, because some of them need to admit that they consider almost anything acceptable if it has a good title and something new in it, and others need to send their editors to English classes. It makes me feel good to know that there are fellow astrologers like John out there, because his is the kind of work that honors the profession and the tradition. A must for serious students.

By Jerry Wong John Frawley is one of the most outstanding contemporary astrologers employing traditional astrology in modern time. This book acts as an introductory text on Horary Astrology.

Many concepts have been re-discovered in this book, such as Antiscia, Contrantiscia and Receptions. This book does not cover the same area as C. Nevertheless, it does provide some useful informations such as the House for primary school, university, the phone-calls, TV, sport betting and so on.

I find that some areas are not covered enough. For example, only half the page is contributed to Almuten. Robert Zoller uses one whole audio tape to explain Almuten. Using astrology to predict future is nothing new amongst Chinese astrologers. Getting a western astrologer to write a book in prediction is a big step forward.

It has nothing to do with broomsticks and is unknown outside of the Street. In his third book of essays, Roell starts, appropriately enough, with an analysis of Occupy Wall Street, a short-lived protest movement which was brutally suppressed. Roell then takes off the gloves. In an extraordinary bare-knuckle essay, Astrology Under Our Feet, Roell proves astrology does not fall from an empty sky, but is generated by the earth itself. We are soaked in astrology, from birth to death.

Horary Textbook by Ema Kurent – review

In contrast to his earlier books, The Real Astrology and The Real Astrology Applied, this volume is intensely practical and the focus is squarely on presenting the material in the most accessible way possible. The book is split into two sections. The first takes you through the techniques and concepts used in Horary astrology and the second goes through the houses providing examples and explanations of questions which fall into these areas. This is a text book not a treatise; it is designed to be used, worked through and referred back to. Not an academic work, it provides practical advice, which has obviously been obtained from hard earned experience gained at the sharp end with clients. This Real Astrology sits side by side with aphorism and explanation providing an appreciation of both theory and practice.

The Horary Textbook - Revised Edition

Shelves: must-read This timeless master piece is a treasure for all astrologers to review again and again. Since I am not a big fan of personal astrology and they are very subjective and without immediate practice. Unlike modern astrology theories, this traditional approach in divination has a more strict mathematical foundation for it and the most important thing is -- they really work! This timeless master piece is a treasure for all astrologers to review again and again. If you master the logic of this book, you will also find it came in handy when in practice John Frawley is a master in presenting the ancient knowledge to who are really delved into the astrology work, not just checking out the sun signs for simple explanation. Every chapter is easy to read and the math is hands-on calculation. And the most important about this book is he provides easy to understand examples in each house to study.
