Thermocouples Thermocouples are a type of temperature sensor that uses two dissimilar metals joined at one end. Since different metals generate different voltages when exposed to a thermal gradient, the difference between the two measured voltages corresponds to temperature.
Owing to their simplicity, adaptability and low cost; thermocouples are one of the most widely used temperature sensors available. Temperature Transmitters Temperature transmitters act as an interface between a temperature sensor and the display or control device. They convert the output signal of the sensor, a non-linear millivolt signal, into a linear milliamp signal which can be sent longer distances without degrading which results in more accurate measurements as well as a signal that can provide a platform for digital communications such as HART or Fieldbus.
Magmeters Magmeters are volumetric flow meters that measure the voltage created when conductive liquids move through a magnetic field. They use energized coils outside the flow tube to create a magnetic field, which creates voltage proportional to the velocity of a conductive liquid passing through the area at a right angle.
